La distance entre moi et mes lecteurs est Internet. Je peux communiquer avec eux et répondre à chaque e-mail que je reçois ou à chaque mention sur Twitter.

Les gens trop faibles pour suivre leurs propres rêves trouveront toujours un moyen de décourager le vôtre.

Je me tourne souvent vers mes livres lorsque ma propre écriture a du mal.

J'ai lu tellement de science-fiction quand j'étais jeune. Je crois que la science-fiction est le genre de l'exploration et pour en savoir plus sur les possibilités via le livre.

La chose la plus importante est les lecteurs. J'ai une énorme suite Twitter, mais je ne pense pas vraiment qu'elle vende des livres; Je ne pense pas qu'un énorme Facebook suive vend des livres - bien que ces choses ne soient pas mauvaises, bien sûr.

Un roman de cent mille mots pourrait prendre un an ou plusieurs années, puis vous venez à la «fin» un jour. Mais il faut des centaines de jours pour arriver à «la fin». En tant qu'écrivain, vous devez mettre ces centaines de jours.
