Si on vous donne du matériel source aussi spécial et bien écrit, comme le nouveau projet de Robert Kirkman, vous seriez stupide de ne pas vouloir le faire et de ne pas être fidèle à cela dans une certaine mesure.

Quelqu'un m'a dit récemment: "Vous êtes comme Oprah, mec. Les gens vous diront n'importe quoi." Je vais poser des questions et je m'en fiche. Si vous ne voulez pas me le dire, c'est bien, mais ça ne sera pas agressif. Je suis ouvert aussi. Et aucun jugement. C'est une combinaison d'être disposé à poser les questions et à être très ouvert moi-même.

Le fait qu'il y a du mouvement et du son, m'a pris beaucoup de temps à Walking Dead pour m'habituer au fait qu'à la télévision, les personnages n'ont pas à dire des choses. Dans les bandes dessinées, les gens doivent dire que je ressens cela, ou je veux le faire, et vous pouvez faire beaucoup avec le geste et le mouvement et les expressions faciales que vous pouvez faire parfois des trucs d'expression faciale dans les bandes dessinées, mais vous pouvez le faire plus si Quelqu'un peut se déplacer sans parler. Cela conduit à un style d'écriture différent entre les deux médiums.

Vous ne pouvez pas être sans méconnaissance. C'est la chose la plus ennuyeuse au monde, pour être une nouille humide à milieu de la route. C'est ma plus grande peur, d'être comme, "Oh, peu importe." Ce n'est tout simplement pas qui je suis.

Si quelqu'un est intéressé à travailler avec moi, je préférerais de loin qu'ils m'envoient un e-mail et nous nous asseyons ou prenons le téléphone, qu'elles regardent une liste de clients et décidons si j'en valons la peine ou non. Il devrait être basé sur le travail et sur la base de la façon dont nous nous entendons. Par opposition à aimer, "Oh, il a travaillé avec ça, ceci, et ça. Allons. C'est bien."

J'aime garder la musique devant les gens. J'essaie de vendre dans des spectacles autant que possible - configurer une table à distribution et sortir des caisses de vinyle et des CD. C'est ma façon préférée de vendre parce que vous êtes en face à face avec le client.

Je pense que savoir où vous allez est important, et ce n'est pas comme, quand Robert dit cela, ce n'est pas comme si nous savions ce que serait chaque épisode des cinq, quatre, cinq, six saisons de la série. Je pense que Matt Weiner savait à quel point Mad Men allait se terminer. Vince Gilligan savait à quel point Breaking Bad allait se terminer. Marc Cherry savait à quel point les femmes au foyer désespérées allait se terminer. En cours de route, le processus de fabrication de ces histoires ... vous ne savez pas quelle est la route, ce qui tourne cette route pour vous y rendre.

J'ai été obligé d'aller à Cotillion quand j'étais en septième année. J'ai donc appris ce que Fork est quoi et des étapes de danse.

J'ai des règles et des choses à l'étiquette. Je pense que c'est aussi une chose du Sud, dans une certaine mesure. Je tiendrai la porte pour quelqu'un, mais s'il ne dit pas: "Merci", ça me fait chier. Je dis: "Oui, madame" et, "Oui, monsieur." Des trucs qui sont peut-être archaïques à bien des égards, mais c'est ainsi que j'ai été élevé, et je ne pense pas qu'il y ait vraiment de mal à cela.

Ma femme vous dira que je suis très particulier et que c'est ennuyeux pour les autres. Je mange la même chose tous les jours. Je vais au gymnase à la même heure tous les jours. Je vais à L.A. tout le temps, donc je prends le même vol de 9h30. Je n'en prends pas un autre.
