Je ne me sens pas comme une star; Je n'ai jamais. Je ne me sens pas comme une star; Je n'ai jamais. J'ai toujours l'impression d'être le jeune, je suis le petit. J'ai toujours quelqu'un à admirer, et je pense que cela m'aide à me motiver.

Mon genou est presque de retour à la normale. Je suis de retour à l'entraînement.

Je fais attention à mon alimentation pour être un gymnaste plus sain, mais je ne suis pas obsédé par cela.

Je suis tombé amoureux de la gymnastique. J'adore ce que je fais maintenant. Je travaille avec des gens que j'aime être. Le succès en vient.

Je n'ai jamais eu de coéquipier en compétition avec moi toute ma vie.

En 2008, je n'ai pas tout pris suffisamment. J'étais tellement enveloppé dans la compétition que j'ai raté ce qui se passait autour de moi. Si j'ai encore cette occasion d'aller aux Jeux olympiques et d'être un athlète, je veux tout prendre parce que j'ai l'impression que c'est mon dernier coup et je veux sentir l'esprit d'équipe. Je veux vraiment vivre et respirer les États-Unis.

Rester en bonne santé et cohérent est primordial.

On nous enseigne à un si jeune âge que vous pouvez toujours être mieux et que vous n'êtes jamais parfait et que vous n'êtes jamais assez bon.

Je veux aller à l'université, aller évidemment à Londres et comprendre le reste de ma vie.

Je ne les appelle pas des sacrifices. Je les appelle des échanges.

Tout pour moi a commencé avec mon amour du sport. Dans la société, nous perdons le plaisir avec les enfants et nous leur poussons trop fort. Le succès vient du plaisir.

Les gens mettent trop l'accent sur les looks.

Il y a toujours une chance. Tout peut arriver.

Cela a été étrange et bizarre de regarder les autres filles aux essais olympiques américains juste parce que je m'entraînais moi-même.

Je m'entraîne généralement 4 heures par jour pendant la semaine et 5 à 6 heures le samedi, avec le dimanche.

L'image n'est pas tout, c'est ce qui vient de votre cœur, et de ce que vous apprenez et de ce que vous dites et comment vous agissez qui signifie plus que tout.

Mon entraîneur, Liang Chow, avait une règle pendant que je m'entraînais pour les Jeux olympiques de 2008: pas de ski. Je pouvais faire tout ce que je voulais à l'extérieur du gymnase, a-t-il dit, sauf ski.

Quelque chose que ma mère m'a appris quand j'étais petit, c'est que tout se passe pour une raison. La retraite était effrayante et il était difficile de renoncer à la gymnastique, mais tant de grandes opportunités en sont venues à ce que je ne m'attendais pas. Et cela ne serait pas arrivé si je n'avais pas accepté ma blessure comme un moyen d'essayer quelque chose de nouveau.

Il s'agit de mettre les heures et de passer à l'épreuve.

Je vis pour la classe de réformateurs de Pilates. Je vais au moins trois fois par semaine. C'est un excellent moyen d'allonger vos muscles, de vous étirer et de détendre votre esprit.

J'ai l'impression que lorsqu'il y a tellement de conversations sur l'athlétisme des femmes en ce moment, nous devons nous concentrer sur leurs performances et leurs compétences.
