Résumé
This book pays tribute to Professor Frank Gotzen, the founding father of the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (KU Leuven). It contains the proceedings of the international conference on harmonisation of European IP law, set up by the Centre of Intellectual Property Rights in an attempt to revisit, critically assess and proactively reflect upon the European 'acquis' in the field of copyright law, trademark law, design law and patent law. As harmonisation is deemed to take place at two levels of the EU governance system, the EU level and the national level, the book further aims at examining the impact of the European harmonisation effort on IP law and practice in Belgium.
