Il nous semble qu'elle l'a fait avec succes nous craignons cependant que ceux des lecteurs qui ne se transporteront pas en idee au treizieme siecle, ne trouvent ce heros bien religieux. En tout, l'ouvrage s'ecarte ral rement du ton grave; mais nous pensons qu'il fera verser quelques larmes. Il n'est, pour ainsi dire qu'ane suite de scenes dramatiques, dont plusieurs sont fort belles. Nous ne saurions dire s'il vaut mieux ou moins que tel autre roman mais il ne ressemble a aucun que nous connais sons et il doit etre distingue dans la foule.
