Résumé

Excerpt:This Temple is two thirds full of sand, which is perhaps a good thing, until further protection can be afforded; but when cleaned out there are many lintel and ceiling slabs to be repaired in places. This would not be a very expensive undertaking, costing, perhaps, le. 300. I should advise that, when this monument is cleared, the original enclosure walls be restored in dry stone, and carried slightly higher than it was originally; stone can be easily got from the surrounding desert. This will not only keep out the natives, but also the sand, especially if from time to time cleared away from outside; on this reach of desert, sand will always be the difficulty. I see but little sign of modern destruction of this Temple by the natives, but I advise that the above works be done as soon as possible, it being an historical monument of both Thotmes III and Amenophis II.
