These are stories of a happy single parent family.About the characters: Franois is raising Zunik and loves to play with his son. He is an attentive father, sensitive to his son's feelings.Zunik's mother does not appear in any of the stories. Although she is absent, she nourishes a tender and affectionate relationship with her son. Zunik often speaks to her on the telephone and even goes to visit her in New York.Helene is Zunik's father's girlfriend. She is present in Zunik's life, but remains in the background and does not replace his mother.Ariane Arbour, Helene's daughter, is a year older than Zunik. She goes to school; he goes to kindergarten. She can read and write; he can't. Ariane will always be Zunik's nemesis.
