L'impérialisme, stade suprême du capitalisme

Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, better known as Vladimir Lenin, was a Russian revolutionary, politician, and political theorist. He served as the first and founding head of government of Soviet Russia from 1917 to 1924 and of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924. Under his administration, Russia, and later the Soviet Union, became a one-party socialist state governed by the Communist Party. Ideologically a Marxist, his developments to the ideology are called Leninism.

Russia in the Shadows is a book by H. G. Wells published early in 1921, which includes a series of articles previously printed in The Sunday Express in connection with Wells's second visit to Russia (after a previous trip in January 1914 to St. Petersburg and Moscow) in September and October 1920.

During his visit to Russia he visited his old friend Maxim Gorky, whom he had first met in 1906 on a trip to the United States, and who arranged Wells's meeting with Lenin.

In a chapter (The Dreamer in the Kremlin) devoted to an interview with Lenin at the Kremlin Wells describes the leader and founder of Russian communism. Wells portrays Lenin as a pragmatic leader who "has recently stripped off the last pretence that the Russian revolution is anything more than the inauguration of an age of limitless experiment."

"Cette œuvre vit le jour dans le feu d'une bataille décisive pour le prolétariat international. Le Que faire ? constitua l'arme essentielle pour battre le révisionnisme qui niait le caractère scientifique de l'analyse marxiste, c'est-à-dire qu'il excluait pour le prolétariat la possibilité même de se doter d'une stratégie. Lénine se penche sur les précurseurs russes du marxisme révolutionnaire. Il rappelle la caractéristique principale de ces figures de révolutionnaires : "La grande importance de la théorie révolutionnaire, de la dévotion absolue à la révolution, de la propagande parmi le peuple, qui n'est jamais perdue même si des décennies séparent la période des semailles de celle de la récolte." Le prolétariat moderne héritera de ce concept du révolutionnaire professionnel, complètement dévoué à la cause, un point de force fondamental pour sa lutte révolutionnaire. Avec Marx et Engels, la classe révolutionnaire moderne a porté la méthode de la recherche scientifique du domaine de la nature à celui des rapports sociaux. La bourgeoisie n'a pas intérêt à faire sortir cette méthode du domaine de la nature ; dans le domaine social, la bourgeoisie se cantonne à la défense de ses intérêts de classe, à la défense de la société qu'elle domine et qu'elle défend en propageant des illusions énormes. La classe révolutionnaire est la seule classe qui a intérêt à ce que les lois qui régissent le mouvement de la société bourgeoise soient découvertes. Elle doit les utiliser à "ses propres fins", pour le dépassement révolutionnaire de la société divisée en classes. Et pour lier la théorie à l'action, elle a besoin de l'"instrument". De la science à la stratégie, à l'instrument du parti : voilà, en synthèse, la signification que Cervetto donne au concept de parti-science. Depuis Le Capital de Marx jusqu'au Que faire ? de Lénine, la logique du marxisme est rigoureuse. La fausse conscience de l'époque dans laquelle nous vivons recycle sans cesse de vieilles solutions. Ressuscitant la tradition du "Proudhon philosophe", elle pense que la voie révolutionnaire n'est plus d'actualité. Ressuscitant le "Proudhon politique pratique", elle considère que les contradictions de notre époque sont toujours compatibles et qu'elles peuvent être résorbées parce qu'elles ne sont que le fruit d'une "mauvaise politique". Le crétinisme parlementaire a porté cette sophistique à l'échelle du parasitisme impérialiste. Aujourd'hui, la méthode scientifique de Marx permet de comprendre la dialectique du mouvement réel : l'unité du marché mondial porte en elle sa propre contradiction, la scission de la collision entre puissances impérialistes de dimension continentale. C'est là le caractère dominant de notre époque, qui va caractériser toujours davantage les années à venir. Lénine a déjà démontré que le développement de l'impérialisme détermine l'émergence de nouvelles puissances et, par là, l'inévitable rupture de l'ordre mondial. Dans la dynamique de son évolution historique et naturelle, la biologie de l'impérialisme recèle les phases des catastrophes politiques, des guerres mondiales et des révolutions prolétariennes. On peut le nier seulement en ayant recours au sophisme, à l'opium de l'apparence. S'entourant de ce brouillard, l'homme bourgeois veut se nier lui-même, veut persuader que le processus évolutif fera de lui un singe pacifique et bienveillant."

Que faire ?

In July 1917, when Russia's provisional government issued a warrant for his arrest, Lenin fled from St. Petersburg; later that year, the October Revolution swept him to supreme power in that same city. In the intervening time spent in Finland, he wrote State and Revolution.In this book Lenin provides a rationale for revolution which yields a wealth of insight into his political thinking. He sets out trenchant views on class conflict, the lessons of earlier revolutions, and the necessity of overthrowing the dictatorship of capital in favor of a dictatorship of the proletariat. L'État et la révolution

Dans cet essai, Lénine critique durement la stratégie suivie par une partie des communistes, membres de la Troisième Internationale, notamment les Hollandais, les Allemands, les Anglais et les Italiens. Leur ligne de refus de participation aux syndicats et aux élections, en régime de démocratie parlementaire, lui semble relever de la plus pure « puérilité » : au nom de la sauvegarde de la pureté et de la virginité des principes, il faudrait donc se priver de ces tribunes alors que l'immense majorité de la population travailleuse y croit encore.Lénine donne sa logique de l'enchaînement des événements révolutionnaires et notamment les grands traits de sa vision stratégique. Il exprime sa vision de la lutte politique en vue d'une prise de pouvoir.

Originally published in 1940, "Left-Wing" Communism, An Infantile Disorder is a popular essay in Marxian strategy and tactics. About the Author Vladimir Ilich Lenin (1870-1924) was the founder of the Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks), inspirer and leader of Bolshevik Revolution (1917), and the architect, builder, and first head (1917-24) of the Soviet State. He was the founder of the organization known as Comintern (Communist International) and the posthumous source of "Leninism," the doctrine codified and conjoined with Marx's works by Lenin's successors to form Marxism-Leninism, which became the Communist worldview. If the Bolshevik Revolution is - as some people have called it - the most significant political event of the 20th century, then Lenin must for good or ill be regarded as the century's most significant political leader. Not only in the scholarly circles of the former Soviet Union but even among many non-Communist scholars, he has been regarded as the greatest revolutionary leader and revolutionary statesman in history, as well as the greatest revolutionary thinker since Marx.

La Maladie Infantile Du Communisme  (Le "Gauchisme")

Mieux vaut moins, mais mieux et les quatre textes de Lénine, gravement malade, publiés en 1923 proposent des mesures radicales pour assurer la victoire de la Révolution russe. Il veut concentrer le pouvoir dans les mains d'une élite et combattre ainsi la bureaucratie héritée du tsarisme et celle que génère le régime communiste. Surtout, il craint une scission entre ouvriers et paysans. Ceux-ci devront être transformés par une "révolution culturelle" dont le coeur est l'alphabétisation.L'ombre de Staline, dont Lénine se méfiait, plane sur ces derniers textes. Mais pouvaient-ils ouvrir une voie différente à la Russie soviétique que celle tragique qu'elle allait connaître ? Ou restaient-ils prisonniers de la logique de la dictature de parti unique qui s'était refermée sur son fondateur ?

Communism is a left-wing to far-left sociopolitical, philosophical, and economic ideology within the socialist movement, whose goal is the establishment of a communist society, a socioeconomic order centered around common ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange that allocates products to everyone in the society. Communist society also involves the absence of private property, social classes, money, and the state. Communists often seek a voluntary state of self-governance but disagree on the means to this end. This reflects a distinction between a more libertarian approach of communization, revolutionary spontaneity, and workers' self-management, and a more vanguardist or Communist party-driven approach through the development of a constitutional socialist state followed by the withering away of the state. As one of the main ideologies on the political spectrum, communism is placed on the left-wing alongside socialism, and communist parties and movements have been described as radical left or far left.
